A listing of casualties from the First World War from the Isle of Lewis.
Important notes
At the moment, additional information on the casualties is being compiled on a separate site called Lewismen lost during the Great War. Each casualty has a separate page, showing census information, pictures of island gravestones (if available) and family connections. This page is linked from the casualty's mention on the Faces site. This is an on-going process, which currently (spring 2012) has encompassed the town of Stornoway as well as the townships of Point. Other areas of the island will follow in due course.
